Hello! What is the difference between a standard wheelchair accessible room and a "Florida Special" wheelchair accessible room at Pop Century resort. It is an option when booking, but doesn't say what the differences are.

    Hi Alane!

In not too long you will be at Walt Disney World in sight of Cinderella Castle cruising with yo-ho-ho singing pirates and enjoying Dole Whips!

You have chosen my favorite value resort, Disney's Pop Century Resort. I adore the gargantuan Big Wheel (I so wanted one as a little girl), the renovated rooms with a clean, cool midcentury vibe, and the Disney Skyliner access. The food court here is the only place you can find tie-dye cheesecake.

Walt Disney World Resorts offer two types of wheelchair accessible rooms: with a tub or with a shower. The Florida Special accessible room does not have a wheelchair route or roll-in bathroom, but offers "toilet grab bars, an open bed frame, and a lower toilet height" for Guests who need a bit of mobility assistance.

Enjoy your visit to see Mickey!
