Hi Danielle,
One of my favorite places to spend time at Walt Disney World is at World Showcase at Epcot. When my husband and I were able to take a trip with no children, we did exactly this for one afternoon!
How much time you will spend at each country's pavilion will depend on what is interesting to you. The pavilions all have shops, and even if you do not want to purchase anything, browsing is really unique as the merchandise locations include products native to each country. Also, many of the
World Showcase country pavilions feature entertainment. From the Jeweled Dragon Acrobats in the China pavilion to the absolutely exquisite a capella group Voices of Liberty at the American Adventure, these acts perform multiple times per day. Catching a few performances on your way around World Showcase will enrich your experience. There are also many character greetings as you wander World Showcase, including currently Belle in France and Mary Poppins in the United Kingdom. Finally, there is a
world of food to try at Epcot! You can grab items from carts or quick service restaurants, or make yourself a reservation at one of the table service locations at World Showcase.
Given all of this, I would leave yourself between 30 and 60 minutes to explore each pavilion. Given that there are 11 county pavilions in all, I suggest that you leave a whole afternoon and evening for this outing. I suggest arriving early in the afternoon, exploring World Showcase all afternoon, and ending your evening watching
IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. This show typically happens at 9:00 p.m., but check the website for the time for your specific date.
Please let us know if you have any further questions, Danielle!
