Welcome back to planDisney! A Northern European cruise on
the amazing Disney Wish sounds like an incredible adventure. I totally understand your excitement, and even though that sailing might feel like it’s way out on the horizon, time has a funny way of sailing by faster than the Black Pearl chasing treasure.
Since your sailing is still a ways out, the entertainment schedule for your cruise has not been created yet, so I cannot definitively say that there will be a
Pirate Night or which night it will occur. Typically, the entertainment schedules become available when you are around 130 days prior to sailing. That timing isn’t locked in stone, so sometimes it may be ready a little sooner or possibly a bit later.
While I may not be able to fully confirm that your sailing will have a Pirate Night, especially since this will be the first time the Wish sails European itineraries, the chances are very good that your sailing will experience Pirate Night in some form. Past European sailings and the summer of 2026 European sailings on the Dream are planned to include Pirate Night, so that is a very encouraging sign for your cruise. One thing to keep in mind, especially for European itineraries, is that there likely will not be fireworks during Pirate Night due to local laws and regulations. Even without fireworks, there is still plenty of swashbuckling fun with pirate-themed shows, music, costumes, and plenty of opportunities to channel your inner Captain Jack Sparrow.
Once your cruise gets a little bit closer and
your booking window opens for Port Adventures and onboard activities, I recommend sailing into your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to help spot when Pirate Night is planned for your sailing. When booking “Onboard Fun,” look for the Pirate-Themed Makeover. Whichever day that activity appears is usually the same day your Pirate Night festivities will take place. That little trick has helped my crew more than once when we were trying to plan pirate outfits ahead of time without needing a treasure map.
I hope this
helps you chart your course as you count down the months to your European adventure. Keep an eye on that Navigator app as your sailing gets closer, and I have a strong feeling there will be some pirate mischief waiting for you onboard.
