Hello Teresa, and welcome back to planDisney!
The countdown to your Most Magical Vacation is on! You will be joining in the
50th Anniversary Celebration in just a few weeks. There are so many new experiences created just for the celebration. You will not want to miss
Disney’s Enchantment, a brand new nighttime spectacular, shown most nights in the Magic Kingdom. You will be treated to a feast for the eyes and ears with a magnificent fireworks display, character projections on Cinderella Castle and the buildings of Main Street U.S.A. set to a soundtrack and theme song arranged by a Grammy award-winning artist. This is the perfect way to end a magical day at the Magic Kingdom.
The Walt Disney World Resort has made it possible for Guests with disabilities that do not allow them to wait in a conventional standby attraction queue, to use the
Disability Access Service or DAS to meet their needs. You can either pre-register for DAS via online chat with a Cast Member as early as 30 days before your first park visit or as late as 2 days before you arrive. They will also work with you to schedule 2 one-hour return times per day for select rides and attractions.
You can also register in person with a Cast Member at Guest Relations at any theme park. Once your DAS is approved, you can use the Same-Day Self-Selection Tool in your
My Disney Experience mobile app to make your DAS selections. You can make your first selection when you enter a theme park. So the earliest time you can make a request would be at park opening, once you have scanned your
MagicBand, admission card, or
MagicMobile pass for entry. If you are a Guest of a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel that gives you the benefit of early entry, you can make your first selection as soon as you arrive. You can make your next request after you have scanned into the Lightning Lane entrance for your return time of that selection. You can continue to make selections all day until the park closes. Your return time does not have an expiration for same-day selections.
Andrea’s Amazing Advice: Remember to have all the members of your travel party linked to your
Friends and Family List in My Disney Experience, so they can enjoy attractions with you.
I am wishing you all the fun and magic on your upcoming trip.
See ya real soon,
Andrea
