Hello, We're planning a week long stay at Disney in Aug. We're wondering about the meal reservations with show. Does it use additional meal credits for the show? Do you need to reserve the show tickets as well? If so how? Thanks so much

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Robert! Planning how we're going to use our Disney Dining Plan is one of my family's favorite things to do in the weeks and months leading up to a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I always want to try all the new food and snacks that are being debuted all year round, but I can't leave without getting some School Bread from the Norway pavilion in Epcot or a Dole Whip at Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom Park, so I love that the Disney Dining Plan is flexible enough for me to have pretty much whatever I want.

You're definitely already on the right track for planning your vacation, because you've asked about one of my favorite ways to get a little bit of extra value out of your Disney Dining Plan: booking a dining package for your family that includes reserved seating for a parade or nighttime spectacular. I'm pleased to tell you that if you book one of these dining packages for your family, it doesn't change the number of credits you use at that restaurant on the Disney Dining Plan. For example, if you want to book the Fantasmic! Dining Package at Hollywood & Vine, you will still only need to redeem one Table-Service credit per person. This is one of my favorite deals because you get an awesome Character Dining experience, a delicious buffet, and passes for VIP seating for Fantasmic! all for one Disney Dining Plan Credit.

Based on your arrival date, your window for booking dining for your vacation is open right now! Log on to the My Disney Experience app to browse some menus and make some advanced dining reservations.

    Have a magical day, Robert!
