Hello We are visiting in October 2025 and want to purchase the Not So Scary Halloween tickets, do you know when these will go live and where? Could you also please help understanding the park hopper/lightening Lane situation?

    Hiya Niamh!

Welcome to planDisney! October 2025 is more than a year away but it sure does sound like it will be one of the happiest times of the year. This party is so much fun and a special way to celebrate Halloween in the Parks.

This past year, tickets for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party went on sale May 8, 2024, for guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels and May 15, 2024, for all other guests. In 2023, tickets went on sale earlier with Resort guests having a chance to buy them on April 27, 2023, and the rest of the world having a chance on May 1, 2023. I suspect that next year the timing will be something in late April to early May for when tickets go on sale for the 2025 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Announcements will most likely be made on the Disney Parks Blog and their social media pages around March 2025.

Tickets usually go on sale both online and via phone but for our UK guests, the process is a little complicated.  Tickets will not be available for sale online but may be available via a phone call to Special Events. My lovely UK panelist friend Sue has also suggested as a tip to her UK friends to try and find a US or Canadian-based authorized Disney agent who can purchase the tickets instead. They will have the resources to make that happen for you!

On July 24, 2024, Disney Genie+ will be transformed into Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Individual Lightning Lane will be Lightning Lane Single Pass. At this time, Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass are not able to be purchased by guests ahead of time unless you are in the US or Canada. Through the My Disney Experience Mobile App guests in those two countries (at this time) can purchase either 7 days or 3 days before the Lightning Lane options. It is 7 days before for guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel and 3 days for all other guests. It is at this time that they can pick three Lightning Lane return times for the day they purchased. You book these three Lightning Lanes for one Park. Once you use a Lightning Lane you can book another Lightning Lane for another Park if you wish if you have a ticket with the Park Hopper option. I'm not sure how it will look on the app or how much it will cost as it has not gone "live" but I bet it will change a bit before you arrive next year.

Niamh, I suggest you come back and ask us again for more help before you arrive so that we can give even more helpful hints about the new Lightning Lane system. I hope this was helpful and you have a wonderful time next year!

    Happy Planning!

Hey, it's Nimmy from New York! Just like my guy Jiminy Cricket I am your wisecracking and helpful guide to making the best decisions for your Disney vacation! My husband and I work very hard to journey to our favorite place on Earth, Walt Disney World Resort, as much as we can. We have traveled as just adults, with babies, kids, teenagers, and senior citizens. We have seen so many characters, eaten at amazing places, and consumed a ton of Dole Whips. So "give a little whistle" and let me be your guide! Learn More About Nimmy
