Hello! We are visiting Disney World between December 10th and 19th 2010. What will the weather be like? What should we pack? Thanks!

Hi Ana....I believe I just answered another similar question from you concerning the upcoming December weather in Florida.

As I stated in my previous answer it looks like you are heading to Walt Disney World during a cold spell with the average temperatures being about 10 degrees below normal.  The average highs look like they will only be about 63 degrees during this time and the lows averaging to be about 43 degrees.  We know that Florida weather can change but right now it looks like this cold spell is sticking around for a few weeks!  I am not thrilled as well since my family is arriving on the 18th and we had hopes of sunning and swimming ourselves!

When the weather turns cold at Disney you need to remember to pack clothes that you can layer.  In the early mornings and then once the sun goes down the temperatures will be at their coldest and you will definitely need sweaters and jackets.  During the day when the sun is warmest you can most likely shed these and enjoy some warmth.  Bring along a collapsible bag that is easy to carry so you can store the jackets while you are enjoying the parks. Many families forget and end up having to buy sweatshirts in gift stores when they are caught after the sun goes down.  Unless you want a new wardrobe of Disney jackets and sweatshirts you need to plan ahead!

Pants and capris would be perfect but I would also throw in a pair of shorts just in case! Good walking shoes are a must like sneakers.  Right now only one day has been forecasted for rain so you might consider not bringing bulky rain gear and instead purchasing the inexpensive Disney ponchos if you need them.

Enjoy and the countdown is almost to single digits for your trip!
