It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Lauren!
The
holiday season is my absolute favorite time of the year to vacation at Walt Disney World Resort. The Theme Parks and
Resort Hotels are beautifully decorated and there really is something special about that extra layer of pixie dust that gets sprinkled between November and December. For all those reasons and more, guests love to visit at this time of year so let's have a look at what you might need to prepare for on an especially popular day like Christmas Day.
It is very rare for the Theme Parks to close for capacity at any point during the year, but Christmas Day has been one of the days where it has been known to happen historically.
Magic Kingdom Park is usually the number one destination for guests during Christmas, and I don't blame them because it's a pretty magical place to be! If the Theme Park reaches capacity at any point during the day and needs to close to incoming guests for safety reasons, no new guests will be allowed in, including guests with dining reservations. For that reason, I recommend that you get to Magic Kingdom Park as early as possible and plan to stay until your reservation time. That way, you'll know that you'll be able to get to
Liberty Tree Tavern and you won't have to worry about missing your meal. If any of the Theme Parks do need to restrict admission at any time, you'll get a notification to your phone through the
My Disney Experience app so you'll know before you get there if you need to change your plans.
Have a magical day, Lauren!
