Hello We are visiting in August 2014 staying at Coronado springs resort. The last full day of our holiday falls on Friday 29th August 2014 and I have noticed that it says a 7pm park closure that day in MK, do you know if that is correct and why? thanks

    Hi Jo!

Wow, it is so awesome that you have a Walt Disney World vacation planned for August 2014!  At various times of year there are special events in the Theme Parks of Walt Disney World where Disney will close a park early to regular Guests. These special events include things such as Cast Member Appreciation Night, Private Parties, or Signature Events. There really is no way to know ahead of time what special event is causing a park to close early on a particular evening. You can always ask a Cast Member on that particular day when you are at the park what the evening's special event is.  I would recommend that you schedule your Magic Kingdom day on another day of your vacation when the park is open later so that you can maximize your time in the Magic Kingdom.  Also keep in mind that Walt Disney World park hours can be subject to change as well nearer to the date of your vacation.

I hope that your August 2014 Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
