    Hi Martina!

I'm so happy to hear that you are getting ready for a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation! You are going to have a wonderful time exploring the theme parks, Disney Resort hotels and Disney Springs. Plus, the Disney Imagineers are working on quite a few new things that will be debuting over the next few months. Be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog so you can get the latest news and announcements about all of the magic in store for you during your visit!

October is a fantastic time for a vacation. My family often visits Walt Disney World Resort in October because we we love all of the autumn fun! In our experience, the crowd levels in October are very manageable. You should take advantage of the FastPass+ System during your visit to make the most of your time. Plus, be sure to make dining reservations for any of the table service restaurants you are interested in as they often fill up. Finally, with the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge on August 29, I expect that crowds at Disney's Hollywood Studios may be heavy. So I definitely recommend that you visit the theme parks during Extra Magic Hours if you are staying at one of the Disney Resort hotels so you can experience the theme parks with lower crowds!

My son has multiple food allergies, so I know how challenging it can be to accommodate food allergies during vacation. We have found that the Chefs and Cast Members have always done a fantastic job with my son's special diet. You will find that the restaurants throughout Walt Disney World Resort can accommodate dairy-free and gluten-free diets. In fact, the quick service and table service restaurants have allergy-friendly menus to assist Guests who are accommodating food allergies. If you need additional assistance, you can always ask to speak to a Chef or Manager and they can provide you assistance. Be sure to always let Cast Members know when you are ordering that you are accommodating an allergy so they can handle your food appropriately!

Did you know that there is an entire team dedicated to helping Guests who have food allergies and other special diets? The Special Diets Team is an awesome resource to help you prepare for your trip and their information can help you feel more comfortable about the dining options you will be able to enjoy. I recommend that you email the Special Diets Team at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com so they can give you specific information about accommodating dairy and gluten allergies during your vacation!

Come back to see us if you have additional questions as your vacation approaches! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
