Hello, We are travelling from Canada to Walt Disney World. We were wondering have there been any updates regarding where to get a PCR test on Disney property?

    Hi Rebecca,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for reaching out to us with your question about Covid tests.  I am so happy to see you are planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort in a few months.  My daughter and I visited a few weeks ago and we loved finally being able to experience the Disney Magic after such a long time.

Prior to heading to Walt Disney World Resort, I spent a great deal of time researching the best place for us to get our Covid tests in order to get back into Canada.  We ended up booking our PCR tests at the Orlando International Airport.  I had a rental car so it was easy to get to the airport, and we actually booked our tests two days prior to our flight home.  Now that we have experienced this, if I had to book another test I would just make the test for the day we head home, as early as possible, to avoid driving to the airport on a different day.  The entire experience once we arrived at the airport took just over an hour with paperwork, waiting for our test and then waiting for the results actual results, so be sure to take that into consideration when booking your time.   The airport isn't the only option, after a google search there are plenty of healthcare clinics and drug stores in the area that provide testing, just be mindful of third party sites, I would really only choose a site that is affiliated with a company you trust.

When you head back to Orlando International Airport for your flight home, be sure to upload all of the information into the ArriveCan App prior to checking in.  We were asked to show our completed page, before they would finish checking us in for our flights.  It doesn't take long, but is much easier to complete the package without standing in front of the employee at the check-in window.

I hope you have a wonderful time at Walt Disney World Resort, Rebecca.  Be sure to check out all of the most up to date information about Walt Disney World Resort as your vacation approaches, not only are there lots of new experiences for guests, there are several health guidelines that may be new for you.  If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to come back and visit planDisney again, we are always happy to help.
