Hi Paige! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney! A trip with family friends sounds like a dream! I can just tell you are going to have the most magical time making those forever memories.
I'm so glad your group is arriving ready to go with
Genie+. You are going to love hopping in those
Lightning Lanes and saving those precious Disney minutes - more time for churros and an extra spin on the
Mad Tea Party! I'm happy to tell you that everyone in your party can be linked together no matter how tickets were purchased!
I would recommend that everyone starts by downloading the
Disneyland Mobile App. Within the app, tap on the three-bar menu in the bottom right-hand corner, navigate to "Tickets and Passes", and there you should see all of the tickets purchased for your family. To add additional friends, click on the "+" in the top right corner and go into "Link Tickets & Passes". Here you can manually enter the ID number for their tickets or simply scan the barcode for those tickets. When you go to make your Lightning Lane selections, you'll see that you can select everyone or just specific people. This is helpful if you have any little ones not quite ready for Space Mountain! While I tend to be the one that manages my entire party for the length of our stay, if you anticipate that your party might split off in different directions at times, I would suggest that all of the adults link the full party to their account. That way, Lightning Lanes can be booked or changes can be made no matter who is together.
Did you know that in addition to those Lightning Lanes, Genie+ also grants you unlimited digital downloads of ALL the
Disney PhotoPass photos that you capture that day? Photographers are sprinkled throughout the parks, so be sure to hop in front of their cameras when you see them! You'll want to commemorate such a special trip, and, as I always like to say, the only thing better than making the memories is remembering them!
With everyone linked together, you'll also be able to make
dining reservations, place
Mobile Orders for meals and snacks on the go, and even add your name to a
Mobile Dine Walk-Up list for same-day reservations at select table service restaurants. I always think a character meal is fun with a group no matter what age you are - they are fun for the young and the young at heart!
Goofy's Kitchen in the Disneyland Hotel is classic. Since it's not inside the parks, it's the perfect send-off for your travel day and is sure to end the trip on a magical note! I also love starting a park day at the
Plaza Inn in Disneyland Park where Minnie Mouse hosts a breakfast with views of Sleeping Beauty Castle!
Paige, the magic awaits! If you have any more questions, feel free to
reach out to me or any of my panelist friends. We are always here for you at
planDisney.
Never stop dreaming,
Tara
