Hello We will be staying at the Port Orleans Riverside with 3 young children. Can anyone suggest a building to request for our stay? Also is there anything at this resort that you would suggest that we not miss? Or be sure to see/do? Thanks

    Hi Danielle,

You have selected a charming resort for your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World.  Since you are a party of five you will be assigned a room in the rustic Alligator Bayou section of Port Orleans Riverside.  If I were you I would request to be in buildings 14-18 or 28 as these are closest to the recreational options on Ol' Man Island and to the Sassagoula Steamboat Company (the resort's central building).

During your stay at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside, be sure to take a relaxing boat ride down the Sassagoula Waterway to all the delightful shopping opportunities in Downtown Disney.  Enjoy the pool and playground on Ol' Man Island.  Stop by Fulton's General Store, one of my favorite resort gift shops in all of Walt Disney World.  You can even rent bicycles to explore the property or arrange for a guided fishing expedition.  And at night, be sure to listen for the crickets chirping right outside your room.  I think you and your family are really going to appreciate all that Disney's Port Orleans Riverside has to offer!

    Have fun!
