    Hello! We will be sailing soon, and I was wondering if an electric handheld pump is allowed? The kind that sucks the air out of vacuum storage bags so we can save space packing.

    Hello, Tammy! Welcome back to planDisney! I hope you and your family are getting excited about your upcoming vacation on Disney Cruise Line.

    I admit I had to check with Disney Cruise Line on this one. A representative informed me that this type of pump is prohibited on board. If you have further questions, you can contact Disney Cruise Line by phone or chat. While it probably doesn't save as much space as your method, I like to use compression packing cubes to help keep myself organized and save space for souvenirs in my luggage. There is usually a new popcorn bucket that I want to add to my collection! If you don't have luggage tags for your checked luggage, don't worry; the porters at the cruise terminal will have some that you can fill in with your stateroom information.
