Hi Paola, welcome back to planDisney!
Thank you for stopping by with another great question. I'm thrilled to help you plan what sounds like an incredible Walt Disney World vacation! I hope to deliver an answer as helpful as the one my planDisney pal
Emille recently provided about the
Quick Service Dining Plan.
When it comes to
Disney's Water Parks, it used to be common for Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Disney's Blizzard Beach to be open simultaneously. However, more recently, these two destinations have alternated operations, allowing one to remain open while the other undergoes enhancements to ensure the safety and enjoyment of future Guests. Based on this trend, it's likely that Typhoon Lagoon will be open during your visit in May. That said, this is just an educated guess, and I recommend checking the Water Parks site or following the
Disney Parks Blog as your vacation approaches to confirm the schedule.
Hakuna Matata, Paola, whichever water park is open during your stay, I'd be happy to share some of my top recommendations to help you make the most of your visit!
At
Typhoon Lagoon, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Start your day with some thrills on Miss Adventure Falls, a family raft ride perfect for all ages, or feel the rush of the Crush' n' Gusher. When it's time to refuel, grab a bite at
Leaning Palms, where you'll find a variety of delicious options, from burgers to salads. If you want a refreshing cocktail, head to the
Let's Go Slurpin' and try the Sunset Margarita. For a touch of luxury, consider reserving a
Beachcomber Shack. These private cabanas have comfy seating, towels, and personalized service, creating a relaxing oasis.
If
Blizzard Beach happens to be open, you're in for a frosty escape! Start with a thrilling ride down Summit Plummet, one of the world's tallest and fastest free-fall water slides. For a more leisurely experience, float along Cross Country Creek, the park's lazy river. Stop by
Lottawatta Lodge for classics like BBQ sandwiches and chicken tenders when hunger strikes. Go to the
Polar Pub for a cool cocktail and try the Frozen Piña CoLAVA. Like Typhoon Lagoon, if you're looking for an elevated experience, a
Polar Patio rental is the way to go, complete with lounge chairs, a cooler stocked with water, and a shady retreat just for your group.
I hope this helps answer your question, Paola! Please feel free to
swing by again if you'd like additional recommendations or have more questions as you plan your vacation.
See you real soon!
