Hi there, Alejandro! Welcome aboard, planDisney!
Your Halloween on the High Seas cruise is coming up real soon! My favorite evening on a
Halloween on the High Seas sailing is Mickey’s Mouse-Querade when the entire ship dresses up in adorable Halloween costumes and celebrates the spooky season with our beloved Disney Pals! I would be happy to answer your question regarding the Halloween costume you have chosen.
First of all, I have to commend you on your super cute costume choice! Your daughters are going to remember the night that you all dressed up together forever!
As a mom of a fellow former fairy-loving daughter, I can happily share that, yes, fairy wings are absolutely okay to bring on board a Disney cruise! Do you know how I know this for sure, Alejandro? Because I still have vivid memories of wrangling my daughter’s own set of fairy wings into luggage so we could bring them on board our Disney cruises many times when she was younger, for when we met her favorite fairy friend of all time, Tinker Bell!
So, yes, as of this current date, fairy wings are still allowed to be brought on board the Disney Cruise Line. They are not on the
Prohibited and Restricted Items list.
However, as policies do change often for various safety reasons, I advise you to either check back with us here at planDisney or check the Prohibited and Restricted Items list again closer to your sail date to make sure that this policy hasn’t changed. You will also receive an email closer to your sail date about important packing information for your cruise, which will include any Halloween costume accessories that are on the Prohibited and Restricted Items list.
Lastly, Alejandro, I have two more pieces of advice for you:
- With such a cute costume idea, you’re going to want to keep ALL the family photos that are taken on board to remember this cruise! Therefore, I advise you to reserve the Unlimited Digital Photo Package on Day 1 of the “My Plans” Section of the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. If you purchase it at home, you will receive a discount, whereas purchasing it on board will be at the full price.
- Once on board your cruise, check the “Daily Plans” section of the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to find all the incredible Halloween-themed activities and Character Meet and Greets that are taking place. You can also “heart” them in the app, and it will remind you to head over to that activity 15 minutes before it starts.
Alejandro, I hope that I gave your family plenty of fairy-themed memories to look forward to on board your cruise! I wish you all the most magical memories during your sailing! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any other questions.
Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust,
Rana
