Welcome to planDisney, Mark!
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is the pinnacle of elegance at Walt Disney World, so I completely understand wanting to ensure that everything is 'practically perfect in every way', just as Mary Poppins herself!
Having stayed at this breathtaking resort, I can assure you that the updated rooms are stunning, and the reimagined dining options, like Cítricos and
The Enchanted Rose, are equally delightful. For a special treat, I recommend requesting a seat in the library at The Enchanted Rose, it's the perfect spot for a magical cocktail experience! While there are some ongoing refurbishments at the resort, we experienced minimal disruption during our stay. Although the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and Garden View Tea Room remain closed (at this time), the rest of the resort is in tip-top shape with charming nods to Mary Poppins and the Victorian era.
Now, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa during the festive period? Well, that's a whole new level. I believe this is the 25th year that the life-sized
Gingerbread House will fill the lobby with sweet delights! You’ll find white chocolate candy canes, edible snowflakes, sugar poinsettias, and countless pieces of gingerbread across the handmade house. Typically, the sweet smell of ginger and sugar begins to fill the lobby in early November, so I am sure you can behold the sight during your stay. Please keep an eye on
Disney Parks Blog for the latest on all things festive at Walt Disney World, as there are impressive displays throughout the resort.
If you have any other Walt Disney World questions, Mark, we'd love to help here at
planDisney! Wishing you a 'supercalifragilisticexpialidocious' stay!
