Hi Joseph,
Welcome back to planDisney! It’s been a couple of years, but I’m so glad you’ve found your way back “home” to planDisney to help with your vacation planning needs, and especially happy you're returning to the magic of
Walt Disney World.
One of my favorite spots in Walt Disney World is
Stormalong Bay at
Disney’s Beach Club Resort. You’ve done your homework because this pool is widely considered one of the best (if not the best) pools across all
Disney Resorts Collection hotels. It’s more of a mini water park, featuring a lazy river, a sand-bottom pool, a life-sized shipwreck with a waterslide, and even a gently sloping sandy beach play area for little ones. It’s a dream come true for water lovers of all ages!
As with all Disney Resort pools, they are exclusively reserved for Guests of that specific resort.
Stormalong Bay is no different, but because it is so popular, Cast Members will verify your resort reservation and issue wristbands each day. You’ll just need to show your MagicBand, Key to the World Card, or proof of reservation to receive your wristband before entering. This helps ensure that only registered Guests of
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and Disney’s Beach Club Resort (to include the Beach Club Villas) can enjoy the amenities and keeps the experience enjoyable and safe for everyone.
As with any Disney location, pool capacity is carefully monitored for safety, but no reservations are required for access to Stormalong Bay. In my experience, especially as someone whose family loves this resort for this very reason, we’ve never had any trouble finding a spot. With Guests coming and going throughout the day (many hopping between the parks and the pool), there always seems to be room to unwind and enjoy that sandy-bottom serenity.
I hope this helps as you plan your unforgettable 2026 stay! If you have any more questions as your trip gets closer, don’t hesitate to swing back by planDisney and ask away.
I’m always happy to help!
See you real soon,
Brent
