Hello. We are planning on going to stay at the Disney's Art of Animation Resort and we noticed that buying the Park's tickets with the hotel reservation is more expensive (around $50 more) than buying them separately. Do you know why they do this?

    Hi, there!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Daniel. I'm so glad you stopped by!

How exciting to hear you're beginning to plan a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I think planning is half the fun! Booking a Disney Resort Hotel Package online is certainly convenient. I love that I can customize a vacation package by choosing a Disney Resort hotel, tickets, and a dining plan that fits my family's unique needs and budget! You'll love Disney's Art of Animation Resort. It's one of my family's favorite Disney Resort hotels!

I'm not sure why you're seeing a price difference in tickets purchased separately and tickets purchased as part of a Disney Resort Hotel Package. The prices of the tickets shouldn't vary. My best guess is that perhaps you're planning on purchasing fewer tickets than nights at your Disney Resort hotel. When you book a Disney Resort Hotel Package online, you first choose your Disney Resort hotel. Once you've made your selection, you're directed to the Theme Park Ticket page. The number of tickets on that page will automatically be the same number of nights you selected at your Disney Resort hotel. My family usually purchases fewer tickets than nights at our Disney Resort hotel, so I select a different number on the Theme Park Ticket page than the one the system selects for me.

If adjusting the tickets you wish to purchase while you're customizing your Disney Resort Hotel Package doesn't resolve the difference in price between tickets purchased separately and package tickets, I recommend calling the Reservation Center. A friendly Cast Member would be happy to help you make your reservation! The Reservation Center can be reached at (407) 939-1939.

I hope this was helpful, Daniel. Please visit us again soon with any new questions you may have about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
