Hiya Alicia!
Thank you for sending us your magical question, and welcome to planDisney! As a fellow Canadian, I am thrilled to be answering your question today, and I am honoured to be a part of your planning journey. How excited are you for the warm, Floridian summer days? I know that is always one of my favourite parts of a Disney trip, though we tend to get a lot more snow here in Quebec than on the west coast!
Now, let's talk about your magical vacation and how we can plan this split stay together! I love split stays as they allow you to experience the theming, amenities and unique offerings of different Disney Resorts. Technically, there are two ways that you could plan your split-stay vacation. First, when purchasing a package for your first Resort Reservation, you should be able to select up to 10 park tickets. However, since you are not getting this option, I recommend making two room-only reservations and purchasing your tickets separately. Planning a split stay without the packages makes it easier to organize visits like these where the number of tickets exceeds the number of nights at your Resort. If you plan to go to the parks every day, keep in mind that you can buy
tickets for up to 10 days. These tickets
expire 14 days after their selected start date so that you can plan some pool days accordingly!
Wow, Alicia, a stay at Disney's Contemporary Resort sounds incredibly magical! As you will be there for almost a whole week, you must try the Resort's fantastic culinary offerings. First, I would highly recommend getting a reservation at
Steakhouse 71. With its decor and menu inspired by the history of the Walt Disney World Resort and the local area, it is the best restaurant to visit during the
World's Most Magical Celebration. Indeed, the menu includes some of Walt Disney's reimagined favourites, and the
15-layer Chocolate Cake has earned an excellent reputation around the Resort! Second, I would also recommend planning a meal at the famous
California Grill. I had the opportunity to eat at California Grill for brunch, and I could not recommend it enough. The view from the 15th floor is breathtaking, and you might even get to watch Disney Enchantment from the balcony! In addition to the experience, their gourmet menu is praised by all who visit. If you do book a reservation at California Grill, make sure to look at their dress code!
I hope this was helpful, Alicia, and that you and your family will have the best day ever on your upcoming Disney vacation. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your visit, please feel free to reach out. You and me, we're in a club now!
Have a magical day,
Ariane
