Hello, Stephanie. Welcome aboard the planDisney panel! My pals and I are so happy that you thought to cruise our way as you prepare for a cruise with Captains Mickey and Minnie this summer. August will be here before you know it and I can't wait for the moment that you get welcomed aboard your Disney Cruise Line ship. Have your camera ready for a photo-worthy moment!
I like the way that you are planning ahead with your travel itinerary. You are wise to be well prepared! It seems like protocols are changing quickly regarding testing requirements, so I will give you the best information that I can, at this time. I just returned from a cruise in Europe on the Disney Magic and guests were given the option to arrange for a test through the
Safe Passage website (at their expense) to be conducted at the port on debarkation day. Guests debarked from the ship and the testing occurred at the port terminal. Tests were not conducted the night before debarkation.
I recommend that you keep an eye on the
Updated Experiences page of the Disney Cruise Line website as it is updated regularly with important information that will be relevant to your cruise vacation.
As your cruise is quickly approaching, here is a handy
packing checklist to review as you begin to think about filling your suitcases. I like to recommend that guests keep a separate day bag that they carry with them on the ship. Keep your important personal documentation, travel information, valuables, and medication that you might need in that bag. Throw in a swimsuit, hat, and sunscreen as well if you'd like to enjoy the pool shortly after boarding. Your luggage may take a few hours to arrive in your stateroom after boarding, but if you've got your swimsuit with you, you can make a splash right away.
Enjoy your time aboard the Disney Cruise Line and please sail our way again if you have any further questions.
Bon Voyage,
Adrianna
