Hello, We are planning a disney trip in 2013. When is a good time to go when it is quiter? We want to try to avoid school vacations and crazy lines. here will be about 4 adults and 4 children. Also where is a good place to stay to accomodate all of us

    Hi there, Crystal!

One of my favorite times of year to visit Walt Disney World is actually after the hubbub of the holidays and Marathon Weekend have quieted down: from mid-January through mid-February, just before President's Day weekend. Crowds have died down to a great degree, the weather is cool and dry, and there are quite often specials to be had.

Alternately, consider mid-September through the end of October, excluding Columbus Day weekend. Again, because most students are in school after Labor Day, crowds are typically very manageable, and you'll often find specials during this time of the year as well. You can take advantage of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, too, which is my favorite special event at Magic Kingdom.

As for accommodations for a party of eight .... of course Disney has a variety of recommendations for you! I you'd like to send me some idea of how you'd like to be split up, or what your budgetary needs are, I'd be glad to work on a customized list for you.

    Happy planning!

    See you later, celebrator,
