Hello, We are planing to celebrate our 6 year old daughter’s bday with dinner at Cinderella’s Royal table, then I was planing to purchase one of the Magic Kingdom Dessert Parties, but not sure which is the best, what do you recommend?

    Hi Luis!

Welcome to planDisney!  I'm so glad you stopped by as it sounds like you are in the process of planning a magical birthday celebration for your daughter!  Dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table followed by a dessert party and fireworks sounds like the makings of a very memorable evening.

Luis, there are several different options when it comes to dessert parties at Magic Kingdom Park.  When I made reservations for our family a few years ago, my preference was the pre-party.  My oldest was in kindergarten at the time and I was worried that keeping him up later after the fireworks may not be the best option for him following a long day in the parks.  I also like the viewing area in the Plaza Garden as you're pretty much right in front of the castle.  This choice allowed us to enjoy our sweet treats and then end the night watching the beautiful display of Happily Ever After with a picture-perfect view!  If your daughter is more of a night owl, the post-party is also a great option as you can relax and enjoy your desserts while the heaviest crowds exit the park right after the fireworks end.  At the end of the day, all of the dessert parties are wonderful - it's just a matter of figuring out the best one for your vacation style!

Since it appears that your daughter is a fan of Disney princesses, I also wanted to share that the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Magic Kingdom Park may be another way to add a pinch of pixie dust to her birthday.  During this experience, she'll be transformed into a princess thanks to the help of her very own Fairy Godmother.  There are several packages available - some of which even include a princess gown!  This is a very popular experience and reservations open 60 days before your arrival for guests staying in the Disney Resorts Collection. If you aren't able to get a reservation, keep checking back as sometimes you'll see availability closer to your trip.  She could also stop by Sir Mickey's located behind Cinderella Castle for a special "pixie-dusting" which is available for both kids and adults!

Luis, I'm wishing upon a star that your daughter has the most magical birthday ever this year!  If you have any other vacation planning questions, please stop by to see me or any of my panelist pals here at planDisney again - we're all ears!

    See ya real soon!
