Ahoy, Paul! Welcome to planDisney. A trip to Disneyland Resort in January seems like the best way to start off the new year.
Blue Bayou is such a fun and unique dining experience and I hope that you are able to get a reservation to experience this. If for some reason you have a few in your party that can no longer attend the reservation, you should still be okay as long as you do show up with some of your party. You might even be able to go in and modify your reservation to reflect the new number of your party when you get the final total. If you can't modify your reservation, just let the Cast Member know the party size when you check-in.
Dining reservations can currently be made up to 60 days in advance. I'm sure you know that Blue Bayou is quite popular, so I suggest you get on right at the 60-day mark to try to secure that reservation. If you are empty-handed, just keep checking back, especially in the day or two before your visit. I have gotten lucky with quite a few really great last-minute reservations. You also can always head to the check-in podium at Blue Bayou on the day of your visit and kindly ask if they are taking any walk-up accommodations. I've also been able to get a same-day reservation. The earlier in the day that you go, the more likely you will be able to get in.
Paul, I hope you have a fantastic visit to Disneyland Resort where you will get to experience the last days of the
holiday celebrations. Be sure to come back and visit us again with your planning questions!
