Hello, We have a party of six and have made several dining reservations. One of our party has some health issues, however, and may not be able to make it to every reservation. Is there a penalty if less than our full party makes it to the reservation?

Hey there, Will, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question! Your trip is quickly approaching, and I’m personally excited for all of the amazing food you’re about to experience! After all, Disney food is an attraction all on its own, especially during the 50th Anniversary Celebration!

Will, one thing that Walt Disney World does well is managing change! In my experience, I have never had an issue when arriving at a dining reservation without a Guest who was unable to attend. As long as the rest of the reservation party was present, we did not incur a penalty. As a dad with a young family, our Disney Vacation plans do change on a whim, and occasionally nap time takes priority over dinner.

It’s my sincere hope that all will be well and that your entire party will be able to experience every moment of your trip together! But in the event that you do have someone who needs to miss a reservation in order to prioritize their health, then I’m sure that you’ll find that the Walt Disney World team is more than happy to accommodate their needs.

I hope this helps, Will! If you have any more questions, stop back by because the planDisney panel is here to assist you. Your Walt Disney World vacation is calling!

    Until Next Time,
