Welcome back to planDisney, Teresa! It's so nice to see you here again.
The
Disney Dining Plan is the plan that I would absolutely go with when planning a vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort. I used to go, go, go at the theme parks and would only make time for quick-service restaurants. Now that I'm wiser (definitely not older), I find scheduling a table-service restaurant each day is a wonderful break and a great way to recharge during a park day. Plus, so many of these restaurants are attractions in and of themselves with their incredible theming, that you're missing out if you don't experience them on your trip!
Premium enhancements to meals are currently not included in the Disney Dining Plan. While some of these items may speak to you, and they are usually scrumptious, you typically have to pay out-of-pocket for them. When ordering, ask your server for details and recommendations!
Now which restaurants are you most excited to visit? Today I feel like making a list of
table-service restaurants that are currently included in the 2024 Disney Dining Plan that are my favorites. Hope you don't mind! Just note that offerings are subject to change.
- Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in EPCOT. Princesses and unique foods? Yes, please. Just note that if your family likes fewer adventurous options (and only wants to redeem 1 table-service meal instead of 2), visit for breakfast!
- Tiffins Restaurant in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Want an elevated dining experience that immerses you in the history of this park? This is it! Just note that you will redeem 2 table-service meals to dine here.
- Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney's Beach Club Resort. A classic diner setting filled with comfort food that will make you feel like you're at a beachside resort. The desserts alone are worth the visit.
- Boma - Flavors of Africa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. An incredible buffet with tons of unique options at a hugely impressive resort. Just walking into this resort will take your breath away. And while it's not included in your dining plan, I totally think the Striped and Spiked Cold Brew at breakfast is worth it if you like sweet drinks and a little bit of alcohol at breakfast to remind you that you're on vacation.
- Biergarten Restaurant at EPCOT. This place reminds me of my vacation to Germany a few years ago. A great buffet with authentic German options and an immersive environment that'll make you feel like you're outside in a Bavarian village.
Theresa, I could go on and on but I'll spare you. Plus, there are all the experiences I have not yet visited that I can't wait to enjoy! Just make sure you take advantage of the fact that you're staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel and can make advanced dining reservations for your entire vacation (up to 10 days) at 6 a.m. 60 days before your arrival date. This perk is key in getting you better chances of scoring the reservations of your dreams!
If you have any other questions,
send them my way.
Eat the good stuff,
Matt
