Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Justina!
I have two upcoming visits to
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and I can’t wait not only for those beachy, tropical vibes (I’m looking at you, frozen umbrella drinks), but also to be gliding above the Walt Disney World Resort in the all-new
Disney Skyliner gondolas. You are only a few weeks away – how exciting is that?!
Because the Disney Skyliner is not yet transporting Guests (
it opens on September 29, 2019), I’m going to give you the best answer I can but also encourage you to check with a Cast Member when you arrive at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. They’ll know all about the best ways to make the most of this fantastic transportation option.
The Disney Skyliner station at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is across the street from the Jamaica section, and across the water from the Trinidad section. Buildings 41-44 in the Jamaica section look like great options, but I recommend choosing not to request a specific building. Disney’s room assigners have a complicated job, and it’s been my experience that you make their life easier when you tell them exactly what you’re looking for when you make a room request. So, if you would like to request a room that is close to the Disney Skyliner, your best bet is to call (407) 939-1936 and ask to add a request to be close to the Disney Skyliner station to your reservation. When you request a building number, but don’t give the room assigners information about
why you want that building, they don’t have enough information to help you if that particular building is unavailable. This way, you give yourself more options.
Justina, walking paths have been added throughout the resort, making it possible to walk to the Disney Skyliner station. There will also be a stop on the resort’s internal bus loop if you prefer not to walk. By the time you arrive, those logistics will have been in place for a while, so feel free to ask a Cast Member about the best ways to get from your room to your destination.
Disney’s Riviera Resort will not open until December 2019, and I don’t think the resort’s Skyliner station will be operational at the time of your visit. That’s also something you could check in with a Cast Member about when you arrive, but right now, that station is listed as "Proposed" on the
Disney Skyliner map.
Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for updates about the Disney Skyliner and Disney’s Riviera Resort. I had a chance to preview some of the resort’s Disney details, including some menu items, and let me tell you: I’m really excited for this resort to open.
The details in the resort rooms are charming, and I just love the Riviera theming that weaves through the dining and décor.
Have so much fun on your Halloween visit, Justina!
Boo to you, and have a spook-tacular time!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
