Hello, We are first timers on the Disney Wish. Is it possible when we are in Nassau to do the Catamaran Snorkeling excursion first, then spend the rest of the afternoon at Atlantis Aquaventure ? And how would we get to the second activity? Thank you

    Welcome, Sabrina!

How exciting to be planning a magical cruise aboard the beautiful new Disney Wish! I’m happy to help you think through potential plans for getting to all the adventures your heart desires in the gorgeous port of Nassau, Bahamas.

In my experience, it’s difficult to schedule two Port Adventures for the same day. When you attempt to add a Port Adventure to your plans, you select a time from the pre-populated drop-down menu of available options. Some adventures offer multiple departure times within one day, so I advise you first look at availability for your Catamaran and Reef Snorkeling (N14), and then see what’s available for the Atlantis Aquaventure (N25). Any times in the drop-down menu that overlap with existing plans are greyed out and cannot be selected. I suspect this will be your experience once you book one Port Adventure and attempt to reserve the other. With the length of these experiences and the limited time in port, it may not be possible to enjoy both.

If you find the Catamaran and Reef Snorkeling timing returns you to the ship before lunch, you may be able to explore Atlantis Paradise Island on your own as they offer day passes on their resort website but please know this comes with some risks to your vacation. The cancellation policies are outside of what Disney can control for this itinerary, and most importantly you are responsible for returning to the ship on time for departure.

My family had an incredible day on our own at Atlantis Paradise Island; taxis were easy to find at both the port and at the nearby resort for our return. It’s a short drive, but you’ll want most of the day to really experience everything this unbelievable location has to offer. If you attempt to do both experiences in Nassau, I suggest only exploring Atlantis and not going to Aquaventure water park for the time and expense needed to fully enjoy. A full day booked through Disney’s Atlantis Aquaventure will ensure you have plenty of time to zip down these incredible slides and take in all the sights.

I know it’s tough to choose a favorite, Sabrina. No matter the selection you’re going to have a wonderful vacation! Don’t forget to take advantage of the future cruise discount by booking a placeholder on your current cruise, and perhaps you can enjoy another Nassau Port Adventure then.

    Bon voyage,
    Amy
