Hello! We are a family planning vacation on New Year's eve & New Year's day from Japan. Please help us. Does the Parks open. Do we have to get any special tickets?

    Hi friend! Welcome to planDisney.

What a perfect time to plan a visit to Disneyland Resort. You'll experience all the joy of the Holidays at Disneyland Resort, including festive décor, merchandise, entertainment, and yummy treats. Plus, you'll be ringing in the New Year in the happiest place on Earth. I think you're going to have the best time!

To enter the parks, you need a standard admission ticket and a theme park reservation. Theme park reservations open on a 120-day rolling window, which means your dates are already available, and since they're extremely popular, you'll want to purchase and secure your park reservations as soon as possible. It is very likely these dates will fill up, so the sooner you make your arrangements, the better. Contact a travel agent to purchase your tickets and make your theme park reservations.

To better enjoy the parks on a popular day, I'd also suggest you use the Disney Genie+ Service, so you spend less time waiting in lines. Also, book your dining at the 60-day mark. Choosing at least one Table Service meal will ensure you have time to rest and refuel without having to wait in line for your food. Finally, be sure to arrive early in the day.

The fireworks in Disneyland Park on New Year's Eve are wildly popular! You might want to secure your spot a couple of hours before the fireworks if you want to have a good location. Good viewing locations include in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle on Main Street, U.S.A., in front of "it's a small world" in Fantasyland, and by the Rivers of America in Frontierland.

    Happy New Year!
