Hello! We are so excited to visit Disney California on 31th on December,. We would like to know if there is any especial Event for the end of the year and we would like to know if it is necessary to make an extra reservation apart from the entrance. Thank

    Hello, Silvia,

I’m excited for you! My family and I visited the Disneyland Resort for New Year’s Eve a few years ago. I treasure the memories we made during that special vacation experience.

There is no separately ticketed event at the Disneyland Resort theme parks on New Year’s Eve. If you wish to celebrate the coming of the New Year from inside one of the theme parks, all you will need is a valid theme park ticket for each member of your party and December 31st theme park reservations for your preferred theme park. If you have Park Hopper tickets, you may choose to hop to either park later in the day, subject to availability, so that you end up where you wish to be for the countdown to the New Year at midnight.

Entertainment options are plentiful in both theme parks on New Year’s Eve. Find special entertainment in Disneyland Park up to and well past midnight. When we celebrated the New Year at the Disneyland Resort, we enjoyed dance parties and party favors. We were wowed by Disneyland’s New Year’s Eve Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks Spectacular. In Disney California Adventure Park, experience the lights, sounds, tastes, and joys of various seasonal holidays celebrated by many different cultures with the Disney Festival of Holidays, which runs until the park closes at 1:00 AM that night.

Tony’s Tip: If your family has little ones, or even, ahem, big kids like me, who may not have quite enough energy to stay up late, Disneyland Park offers an early showing of Fantasy in the Sky at Disneyland to ring in the New Year as if from an earlier time zone. After my family and I enjoyed the early fireworks spectacular, we returned to our room at the Disneyland Hotel, which happened to feature a Downtown Disney District view. It turns out that our room’s location gave us an amazing view of the midnight fireworks at Disneyland Park. We also caught sight of a surprise fireworks spectacular at Disney California Adventure Park at the same time! Note that entertainment offerings are subject to change and not guaranteed due to weather and other unforeseen conditions.

I hope you have a most magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Silvia!
