Hello!!! We are eagerly counting down the days until our next visit in June! I noticed on the app the option to start the online check-in. Can I do this now? What are the advantages/disadvantages of starting the process the now versus waiting? Thanks!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kevin!

There’s nothing like counting down the days until your Walt Disney World vacation! June will be here before you know it… and for those of us located in the Midwest, we could use a little of the Florida warmth.

To answer your question, yes, you can absolutely go ahead and check into your reservation, but it’s certainly nothing you need to do at this moment. However, I would recommend checking in around 45-days prior to your vacation, just to make sure all of your room requests and MagicBand selections are pre-set. Then, upon arrival at your Disney Resort, you'll be able to skip the Front Desk and head straight to your room.

I will tell you, once you check into your reservation you can always go back into your account to switch up your preferences through your My Disney Experience account or by contacting Guest Services.

If you have any other questions, please let us know. Have a magical day!
