    Hello, We are DVC owners and will be running the 2023 Disney Marathon. I was wondering what DVC properties are closest or have transportation to the marathon start. Thanks in advance. Josh

    Hi Joshua!

    Welcome to planDisney. There's nothing quite like the magic of a runDisney event. Whether you're a runner, a spectator, or just a Walt Disney World Resort Guest taking it all in, there's energy and excitement (not to mention all those incredible costumes!) around every corner.  I'm excited to hear that you're already planning for the 2023 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend –– I'm sure there are miles of magical adventures in store for you!

    The Walt Disney World Marathon begins and ends at EPCOT, which means the closest Disney Vacation Club Resorts to the starting line are Disney's Beach Club Villas and Disney's BoardWalk Villas (two of my all-time favorite DVC Resorts!).  However, I'm happy to report that transportation is available to and from the race from all Disney Resorts Collection hotels (including all DVC Resorts), as well as Shades of Green and the Swan and Dolphin Resorts.  In addition to bus transportation from all Resorts, Guests of Magic Kingdom Resorts –– which includes Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, and The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort –– can also use monorail transportation beginning at 2:30 AM on race morning.  That means that no matter which Disney Vacation Club Resort you choose during your stay, you won't need to worry about how you'll arrive at the starting line.

    During The World's Most Magical Celebration, Disney Vacation Club Resort Guests can also take advantage of other exciting perks to help maximize their fun.  Before and after race day, you'll enjoy Early Theme Park Entry, Extended Evening Theme Park Hours, and early access to Genie+ Lightning Lane and Individual Lightning Lane selections.  Believe me, you won't want to miss a moment of these magical opportunities!
