Bonjour, Deborah! Welcome to planDisney. I'm so happy that you're getting a headstart on your 2027
Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Dream it early and plan it big!
There are so many new and exciting experiences coming to the Walt Disney World Resort that should be open and ready for you when you arrive. There should be
recently updated Audio-Animatronics on
Frozen Ever After, a newly re-imagined
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets, and
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad should be all shiny and new when it
reopens later this year after its lengthy refurbishment. And that's just touching the tip of the iceberg. Plus, there's likely more that we don't even know about yet. It's certainly an exciting time to be a Disney Parks fan!
While there isn't an exact science to predicting crowd levels, times when students are off from school and holidays are typically busier than others. Since your April 17 to May 1 dates may overlap with some spring breaks, I would go with your February 20 to March 6 dates. When the 2027 dates are released, I recommend you take a look at
the tickets page of the site and use the key at the top of the calendar to help you make your decision. It should break down which dates are considered Value Season, Regular Season, and Peak Season.
Now, I have no insider information, but I do know that the Walt Disney Imagineers have hinted that
the Pueblo Esperanza section of Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park should be opening at some point in 2027. So be sure to follow along with the
Disney Parks Blog as your trip gets closer. It may be obvious, but saying that it will be open in 2027 is a big window, so there's no guarantee the worlds of
Encanto and
Indiana Jones will be ready when you're there. But my fingers, toes, and merman fins are all crossed that you'll get to experience it.
Deborah, be sure to keep Disney Parks Blog bookmarked so you know when 2027 dates go on sale. And
be sure to reach out again if you have any other questions! The miracle is you,
Matt
