Hello We are coming over in the new year from Australia and we have been wondering if the custom built lightsabers can be dismantled at all? Or is there any guide on how long they are for packing purposes Thank you

    Bright suns, Tessa!

Your journey to Batuu apparently includes an amazing mission: to commune with the Gatherers and learn Jedi lore at Savi's Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers. My son and I recently had the privilege of visiting the Gatherers. My son's experience with building a lightsaber was a thrill to witness. It was definitely the highlight of his experience at the Black Spire Outpost!

Yes, your custom-built lightsaber can be fully disassembled. While the sleeves, emitter, pommel, and activation plate may be removed from the hilt chassis, removing the blade is the main item that offers a significant benefit for portability. My son's fully-assembled lightsaber is about 42.5 inches (108 cm) long. Some styles of lightsaber may be a little longer. The blade that comes with your custom-built lightsaber is about 31 inches (79 cm) long plus an additional connector that is 3.25 inches (8.25 cm) long that inserts into the hilt. You may also choose to purchase additional blades from Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities. Dok-Ondar's blades come in lengths of 26 inches (66 cm) or 36 inches (91.5 cm) plus the connector size. Also included with your lightsaber building experience at Savi's is a special carrying case. This case is about 46 inches (117 cm) long. If you insert only the blade into the case, it can be folded to about 35 inches (89 cm) long and 4.5 inches (11.5 cm) wide. I hope that helps give a better idea of how well these amazing weapons may travel with you on your way home from a galaxy far, far away.

While you are visiting Batuu, I recommend you also try out the Play Disney Parks app. I really want to explore more with the Datapad on the app. There is so much to experience! And Batuuan food is absolutely amazing! I can't wait to take another bite out of a Ronto Wrap and sip some Blue Milk.

Please come back with any additional questions you may have, Tessa. I hope you have a magical time!
