Hello, We would be celebrating a birthday at WDW. Is there a place around WDW where I can order a special cake? Also what do you all do with a tired 5 yr old? Do you rent a stroller for them? TIA

    Hi Meghna,

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel and allowing us to help plan your magical vacation.  It is wonderful to hear you will be celebrating a birthday on your trip.  I can't think of a better place for a party.

A custom cake can be the icing to your special celebration. You may order a custom bakery creation by calling the Walt Disney World Resort Cake Hotline at (407) 827-2253 at least 72 hours prior to your arrival. The bakery cast will be happy to work with you to create just the special treat you have in mind.

I rented strollers for my oldest all the way until he was at least 6 or 7.  While he had been long out of strollers at home and even on smaller family excursions, Disney Wold is truly a "world" of its own and as active as he was, he would always tire out after a couple of days.  On average I have heard you walk between 5-10 miles a day while exploring the theme parks, so it is no wonder to why their little legs get exhausted! As a bonus, I love having a stroller to hold our drinks, snacks, bags, souvenirs, ponchos, you name it. There are several outside companies you can rent one from to save a little money or, if you don't plan on using it too often, you can rent one directly from Disney.

I wish you a wonderful celebratory trip and a practically perfect vacation.  If there is anything else I may assist you with, please let me know.

    Pixie Dust,
