Hi Joseph and welcome to planDisney!
How exciting that it's going to be your little one's first trip to Walt Disney World and even more exciting that your vacation is coming up so soon! I will always remember the first trips we took with my kiddos, walking down Main Street U.S.A. and watching them take in all the sights, sounds and smells. I just know your little one is going to have a magical time next week!
Complimentary celebration buttons are available at any of the theme parks. You can pick them up at the ticket windows,
Guest Relations (even at
Disney Springs) and sometimes in the gift shops. You will definitely want to get your little one a First Visit button to remember this special vacation for them. Something new I learned recently is that you can have your celebration button personalized with fancy paint pens at
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in
Magic Kingdom Park for a small fee. You choose the colors, font type and can even add complimentary enhancements like pixie dust or fireworks. I recently had a personalized button made to commemorate a special achievement of mine and it became my favorite souvenir of the trip.
Since you will be visiting with a little one, check out
Planning for Preschool Kids & Little Ones. There are tons of great tips and tricks for navigating the parks with little kids including suggestions for
attractions,
dining and shows that are all family-friendly. My kids loved character dining when they were little, so we always built in a dinner with Mickey Mouse at
Chef Mickey's in Disney's Contemporary Resort or breakfast with Lilo & Stitch at
'Ohana in Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Dining with the characters is a great way to get some quality time with them, plus enjoy a fantastic meal. Who can say no to Stitch waffles?
Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions and have a fantastic first visit!
Have a magical day!
Leslie
