Hello, We have booked the All Star resort for 4/18 and 4/19. We would like to go the the park close to opening time on 4/18. 1) Can I park at the hotel and use park transportation before we check in on 4/18? Many thanks,

    Hi Frank,

I love that you want to squeeze every minute of fun into your days at Walt Disney World! You absolutely can park at your resort as early as you want on the day of check-in. My family does this frequently so that we can start using the free Disney transportation and get into vacation mode immediately.

When you arrive at the All-Star resort, you will need to show ID or your MagicBand to security, who will then direct you to parking. You can go into the lobby to check-in officially if you wish and pick up your welcome packet and Times Guide. Or, if you completed online check-in and gave the resort permission to email or text your room number to you, you can simply hop on the bus and head for your first theme park.

When your room is ready, the resort will notify you of your room number. Your MagicBands act as your room keys.

I recommend doing online check-in and indicating that you will be arriving early. I have had rooms become available as early as 9 a.m. on our arrival day. It doesn't always happen that way, of course, but you never know unless you ask.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question, Frank. Please let us know if we can help in any other way as you make your final plans. Enjoy!
