Hello, We are booked on the Disney Dream cruise from August 16 to 21. We understand that there is no official Disney transportation to the port in Fort Lauderdale. Is it possible to arrange transportation from a hotel in Fort Lauderdale to the cruise

Ahoy there, Jennifer, and welcome to planDisney! Your Disney Dream cruise is just around the riverbend, so let’s make sure you have all the Mouseketools you need to hop on board!

You’re in luck because up our sleeve, we have a couple of magical hotel options for you to choose from in Fort Lauderdale that offer Disney Ground Transportation service to Port Everglades for your August 2025 cruise:
    - Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa on 3030 Holiday Drive
    - Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina on 1881 SE 17th Street

If you’d like to stay at either of these properties, you can arrange Disney ground transfers to the ship (and vice versa) for an additional fee. My best advice is to call a helpful Disney Cruise Line representative to inquire about the most up-to-date availability and pricing (or to add transfers to your existing reservation). Of course, you could also book your hotel independently and then arrange your own transportation via ride share or taxi.

Fort Lauderdale is also one of my favorite ports to sail from because of how close it is to everything, from the airport to the beach. Did you know that you can also book pre- and post-cruise Port Adventures from your departure port as well? From my past travels, I can recommend walking along Riverwalk or Las Olas for a unique shopping experience with beautiful views. It’s also home to some of my favorite restaurants, so hopefully your flight will arrive in time for dinner!

Jennifer, I’m so glad you stopped by with this question because I always recommend flying in the night before your cruise begins for your own peace of mind in case there are any unexpected travel delays. Speaking of being early, it’s always a good idea to reserve your ground transportation early because seats are limited. If you have little ones sailing with you, you may prefer arranging private transportation, as car seats are not provided on the Disney shuttles.

Just like Tiana, you’re almost there! If any other questions pop up before your trip, I hope you’ll float back to us here at planDisney!

    Bon voyage,
    Sami
