hello, we just booked our 1st cruise on the disney wonder in the mexican riviera. Our 9 year old (going on 15...) son is very hard to please and is worried that the cruise activities are for "babies". but he is too young for the tween activiti

    Hi, Katrina!

Congratulations on booking your first Disney Cruise!  I'm actually sailing to the Mexican Riviera on the Disney Wonder very soon and will be able to fill you in on all the details upon my return.  You'll have to come back and "see" me!

I have four children who run the gamut in terms of actual age and maturity. Therefore, I understand your dilemma in trying to make sure your child is in the right place but has a great time, too.  I would register your 9-year-old for Disney's Oceaneer Club and Lab online, but once you're onboard, take him to those spaces as well as to Edge -- the tween area.  I have found that the counselors want to make sure that every guest is treated individually. Therefore, if your son sees the amenities, counselors and potential friends in both -- you can make the right decision of where he needs to be for the week together.

I hope this helps, and please let me know if I can do anything else for you. I'm here to help! Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
