Hello~Visiting both water parks for the first time. Which attractions empty riders into water over 48in.? My young girls are not swimmers yet;so want to be prepared of water depths before arriving. They love the slides though!:) Thanks for the great help!

    Hi Lynne!

My kids and I love waterslides!  We were just at both Water Parks at Walt Disney World last month. We cannot wait to go back to Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon!

While we were there I didn't notice any of the water slides dumping into water depth that was higher than 48". There is one area at Blizzard Beach where the water is 8' deep. The Ski Patrol Training Camp depth is 8' but it's because there is a zip line and the kids would touch bottom if it weren't so deep.  There is also a really fun deep water slide right beside the zip line which I went on. It's really just a 10 foot tube that drops you straight into the 8 feet. It was fun and the kids loved it.

The rest of the pools are of reasonable depth. Your girls will be able to wear a life jacket at most of the water slides at both of the water parks. Do remember that the wave pools are pretty deep in their deepest parts especially when they are in the "wave" action.

I hope this information helps you with your planning and if you have more questions, please ask away, we are always here to help! Thanks so much for asking the Moms Panel!
