Hello, The check out time is 11 AM for the Disney Resort, but our flight is at 5 PM. Would the resort store our luggage for a couple more hours? We would like to visit Disney Springs. Thanks. Lok

    Bonjour Eva,

Welcome to planDisney! I’m happy to help a fellow Canuck with a planning question for an upcoming Disney vacation. Let’s take a look at your question about departure day.

We all prefer checking in to a resort rather than departing but all vacations must come to a close. As you mentioned, check out time at Disney Resorts Collection Hotels is indeed, 11 AM but you are considered a Guest of the Resort until midnight on the day you check out. This means if you’d like to take advantage of resort amenities like the pool, you’re more than welcome to do so. Guests can bring luggage to Bell Services where it can be safely stored for you until you are ready to depart. You’ll be given a luggage tag when you drop them off so be sure to keep it in a safe spot until you return for pick-up.

Shopping at Disney Springs sounds like a great departure day plan. I often head there before checking out of my resort and I grab a bite to eat at one of the many Quick Service restaurants (my go-to’s are D-Luxe Burger or Blaze Pizza). If you’d like a treat to bring home with you, cookies from Gideon’s Bakehouse travel well!

I hope this information is helpful, Eva. Have a wonderful Disney vacation and feel free to visit planDisney again if you have any other questions.

    Enjoy making magical memories,
    Candace
