Hi Bob,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm happy to hear that you are planning another Walt Disney World vacation for the
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and hope that your recent 50th anniversary trip was totally magical.
I think you will find
Pop Century comfortable and convenient for the Food & Wine Festival. My family has stayed there dozens of times. It is by far our favorite value resort. On our most recent visit earlier this month, I needed to use an ECV because of an injury and had no difficulties navigating the resort, even though our room was on the second floor. There are elevators in the center of each building, and I was able to scoot right into the room on the ECV.
Boarding the bus for Magic Kingdom was easy as well. And even better, as you may know from your recent visit to the Riviera Resort, the
Disney Skyliner is a cinch with a scooter. We boarded at Pop Century, transferred at the Caribbean Beach hub and were at the International Gateway of
Epcot in just a few minutes.
When you get back to Pop Century in the evening, you can grab an adult beverage at
Petals Pool Bar near the Hippy Dippy Pool. During our recent stay, we were able to get a nightcap there until midnight, though hours may vary.
If you are looking to add a little something extra to your Food & Wine experience, Bob, my husband and I highly recommend the culinary demonstrations and beverage seminars. I can't wait to see what celebrity chefs will make appearances this year, and the Eat to the Beat Concert Series is always a terrific addition to the festivities.
Thanks again for being such a loyal fan of the Disney Parks Moms Panel and Walt Disney World. Please don't hesitate to stop by again if you have more questions about planning your October vacation. Enjoy!
Wilma
