Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Gabriela. I'm so happy you stopped by and even happier to hear you have plans to visit the Walt Disney World Resort this week! A visit to the theme parks is always magical, but exceptionally so during the
holiday season.
As a mom of three, I completely understand your concern. Being outnumbered by kiddos can be quite a challenge! You're correct that
an unused Theme Park Ticket can be transferred to another Guest, though the Theme Park Reservation cannot. Don't fret! I have a few solutions - hopefully, one will work.
I just checked the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar and it appears that there is no availability for Magic Kingdom Park in the days ahead. That said, when I logged in to my My Disney Experience account just now and tried to make a Theme Park Reservation for Magic Kingdom Park for myself this week, I was able to for a single ticket. Availability can change by the minute, so I recommend checking the
Disney Park Pass System frequently - you never know when someone's canceled plans may mean new plans for the Guest who would like to join you!
Another solution would be to upgrade everyone's tickets to include the
Park Hopper Option. With the Park Hopper Option, you could all make a Theme Park Reservation at another theme park (it looks like there's quite a bit of availability for the other three theme parks this week), and then beginning at 2:00 PM, you could all "hop" over to Magic Kingdom Park for the rest of the day. This solution would give you all the chance to experience more than one theme park in a single day!
If all else fails and you have no choice but to visit
Magic Kingdom Park with the kids by yourself, don't panic. The Walt Disney World Resort is one of the few places on earth I feel like I can tackle on my own with my kids in tow! Prioritize experiencing
family-friendly attractions like "it's a small world" and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. These types of attractions can often sit an entire family together, which makes juggling the kids much easier. I also suggest using a single or double stroller for your visit, depending on the ages of your kiddos. When my kids are in the stroller, I worry less about navigating crowds! And lastly, be sure to use the
My Disney Experience mobile app for your visit. Features like
Disney Genie Service and
mobile food and beverage ordering add lots of convenience to your theme park adventure. From one mom to another, we need all the convenience we can get, right?
I hope this was helpful, Gabriela. I'm wishing you a magical (and merry!) visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
