Hello, Purchased 4 day park tickets for New Year’s Eve week. Do we need a special ticked for New Year’s Eve at Magic Kingdom? Do we need to make reservations for any of the parks for any of the 4 days ?

Hi there, Bibiana, and welcome to planDisney! I am so excited that you're planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort to ring in the new year! It's so much fun to count down to a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and yours will be here before you know it!

Bibiana, you've selected a very special time of year for a Disney vacation! Every holiday at Walt Disney World Resort is incredible, and the New Year's Eve celebrations are no exception. I've had the pleasure of spending New Year's Eve at Walt Disney World Resort a handful of times, and those are some of my favorite and lasting memories.

You'll be happy to know that you do not need a special ticket or reservations to enter Magic Kingdom Park on New Year's Eve or the days around it - your regular admission will get you in the gate just like on a normal day. It's important to remember that this is one of the most popular days of the year to visit, so the park will likely reach capacity at some point, meaning that no more Guests will be allowed to enter. My advice is to get plenty of sleep the night before, wake up bright and early, and arrive at Magic Kingdom Park early. Plan to stay there all day without exiting, and take it slow. Think of it as a marathon, not a sprint, so you can make it to midnight without turning into a pumpkin!

I recommend making an Advance Dining Reservation (or two) on New Year's Eve so you're guaranteed some time to relax around a table full of delicious food. You can make those reservations 60 days before the day you check in. For a fun Character Dining experience, try The Crystal Palace, where you'll meet Winnie the Pooh and his buddies. My favorite dinner at Magic Kingdom Park is Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen. Each entree is delicious and you can't go wrong with any choice there! Have a glass of House-made Skipper Sangria for me!

Bibiana, I just know you're going to have a blast welcoming 2025 at Walt Disney World Resort! Please stop back by planDisney with any other questions you have as you count down to your arrival and to the new year!

    Cheers!
    Jennifer
