Hello there! Is there a place to store luggage while at Disney Springs/Blizzard Beach? We are coming from Port, have offsite accommodations, and no vehicle. We are trying to make the most of the day while waiting to check in. Thank you!

    Ahoy Alicia,

Thank you so much for coming to planDisney with your question. I do love your post-cruise plan! A great way to cure the sadness of having just gotten off of a Disney cruise is to head to Walt Disney World. Spending the day at Disney Springs or Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park sounds like an excellent way to spend the day after leaving your magical cruise.

Unfortunately, I do not think that you will be able to find spaces big enough to store all of your luggage at either Disney Springs or Disney's Blizzard Beach. While there are locker rentals available at some locations at Walt Disney World, I do not think that any of these will be big enough to store all of your luggage from a cruise. Let me offer you some thoughts on what you might do with your luggage on that day.

First, you can check if your offsite hotel would hold your luggage for you until your room is ready. Many hotels do offer this service. If so, you could drop your luggage off at that hotel before heading to Walt Disney World. I know that this may not be as efficient as heading directly to Walt Disney World, but it is an option. You can also check for the transportation options from your offsite hotel to Walt Disney World; some will offer a complimentary shuttle.

I know you said that you will not have a vehicle, but if it is an option for you, you could choose to do a one-way rental for one day from the port to Walt Disney World. This will come at a cost, but also you would save the cost of whatever transportation you already have planned. You could drive to Walt Disney World, leave your luggage in the car while you visit Walt Disney World, and then head to your hotel to check in later in the day. Once you have checked in, you could return your rental car. Of course, this does mean that you would need to be comfortable leaving your luggage in your car while visiting Walt Disney World. You could check in with the Car Care Center at Walt Disney World to see if they can help with this type of rental, or simply go through rental car agencies.

Alicia, I hope that this answer gives you some thoughts on how to handle your first day returning from your cruise. Please feel free to come back to planDisney with any further questions!
