Howdy Lori!
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is my favorite Walt Disney World Resort! I have my own countdown in progress until my next stay at "The Fort". The grounds are so serene, you almost forget that you're still so close to the magic. I'm so excited for you that you'll be experiencing this unique way to "do Disney" for your next trip.
The Preferred Campsites at Fort Wilderness have a concrete pad up to 50 feet long and they are 10 feet wide. This must be enough space for your RV and your car, if you are bringing one. Your 27 foot RV should fit just fine, but if you're looking for a little extra space, you can look into changing your campsite to a Premium Campsite which is up to 60 feet long and much wider at 18 feet wide. We camped in January in a Preferred Campsite with friends who have a 34 foot RV and we had enough space for our family tent behind them and for an SUV parked in the front.
There are so many fun activities offered at Fort Wilderness! On our last camping trip, we rented
canoes and had a great time leisurely rowing through the water. My son really enjoys the
Fort Wilderness Archery Experience, which he has done a couple of times.
Chip 'N' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long is a must-do at least once during your stay. You can bring your own s'mores for roasting or purchase them from the Chuckwagon Snack Bar, including roasting sticks.
Please stop back by if you have any additional questions.
Have a magical day!
