Hello, My wife and I are heading to WDW over Christmas this year. It is our first time away from family over Christmas. Is there somewhere we can rent a fake tree for a few days aside from Disney Florist? $400 is far too expensive.

Hi, Joel!  We've always had a similar predicament - we wanted something festive and Christmas-y, but we didn't want to splurge that much on a tree from the Disney Florist (we like to splurge on other things!).  I don't know where you could rent a tree, but last Christmas, for about $20, I purchased a small, table top tree at one of the theme parks.  It only stands about a foot tall, with a Santa Mickey hat on top and shoes on the bottom, but it packs really easily into a tube, so it's the one I'll be packing to bring back with me this Christmas.

Another find one year was a fiber optic tree with a base that looks like a Christmas package, and tiny Mickey head ornaments on the branches.  I love that tree, and the lights were a pretty addition to the room, but it's not one I can pack in my bag easily.  It's on my coffee table at home each Christmas.

So, you will be able to find something festive.  If worse comes to worse, use green construction paper at home and build a Christmas tree that you can tape to the window.  You can even cut out paper ornaments to decorate with, and put the whole thing in a big envelope or folder for easy packing.

    Have a great holiday!
