Hi Michele! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with this great question!
I'm happy to hear that there are kids out there that enjoy food items other than chicken fingers and macaroni and cheese! My daughters are on a strict diet of these items as of late. I remember back when I was young and I would ask my mom to take me to any restaurant that served fried calamari. She was on a mission to always find a restaurant that had it on their menu.
Crab legs at Walt Disney World are not easy to come by.
Cape May Cafe will be your best option when it comes to a traditional serving of this dish. They'll be available at an additional cost to the rest of the meal when dining here.
I scoured around other dining locations and found a couple of other options you may want to give a try.
STK Orlando in Disney Springs offers Red King Crab on their raw bar menu. It's served chilled with a cocktail sauce.
Paddlefish has a Snow Crab Seafood Boil that is very tasty. This is a warm serving and is closer to what your son is probably expecting.
Other than these options, if you are looking for a delicious seafood dinner,
Flying Fish is one of the best restaurants at Walt Disney World. It's located on Disney's Boardwalk and offers some innovative menu options. I highly suggest giving this a try if you haven't been before.
Michele, I hope you and your son have a magical time during your stay!
