Hello! My son and I will be flying in from and then going to the Caribbean Beach resort to meet the rest of our party. We are wanting to go to TREX for dinner that night, do we absolutely need reservations considering we dont know the exact time well meet?

Hi Victoria! The arrival day can be challenging no matter where you are vacationing.  Flights can be delayed for many reasons and it tends to be stressful and exhausting.  I usually suggest guests do as little as possible on that first day and night to avoid being exhausted before the vacation even starts.

Heading to Disney Springs for dinner is an excellent idea. TREX is a great choice as well but unfortunately because of that, reservations are HIGHLY suggested. It is one of the most popular reservations to get and walk ups are not common. You can certainly try but I would hate to have you disappointed by not getting a table.  Perhaps you can cushion your timing and get a slightly later reservation that evening which would enable you to meet up and all enjoy dinner together.

Please also know that with all the current construction at Disney Springs it is suggested you give yourself plenty of time to hop on the bus at your resort and arrive at the bus drop off location. It will be about a ten minute walk to the restaurant.

I know it is often hard to figure out your timing with dining reservations but it is still the best way to go when looking for a table service meal. Never make your timing close because there can be so many influences that can cause delays. The Disney transportation is wonderful but the buses and monorails and boats can run into difficulties as our own cars can on the roadways. Give yourself some padding time and you will enjoy eating without stress.
