Hello. My name is Cris R. My wife and I purchased one of the commemorative pavers in the Walk of Magical Memories promo back in the early 2000’s. Not a big social media guy but heard by word of mouth that that area was going to get a make over?

Hi Cris! Thanks for visiting planDisney.

I think it's so lovely that you were able to participate in the now-retired "Walk of Magical Memories" program, which allowed Guests to purchase a 10-year brick sponsorship. This program ended in 2011, but you can still locate many personalized hexagonal bricks featuring Guests' and families' special memories in the Esplanade. We are well past that 10-year mark, unfortunately, and the parks are always changing, giving us new reasons to return again and again. Forthcoming plans may result in the partial or total removal of the bricks. We'll just have to wait and see, since there's been no official word. I'm sorry if that's not the news you were hoping for.

If you don't know where your brick was located, I suggest dropping by Guest Relations at City Hall in Disneyland Park or The Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure Park to see if a Cast Member can assist you. While you don't need a ticket to visit your brick, park entry requires an admission ticket and a theme park reservation. The bricks were organized by section. Hopefully, after you purchased your brick, you got a quick picture or rubbing of your brick to help cement it in your mind.

The Disney Parks Blog is your official resource for all park news. This is a great place to look out for updates about new and exciting things coming to the park, including any details about your cherished brick and the Esplanade! My family loves experiencing new thrills in the parks, while also relishing those nostalgic moments. It's that special combination that keeps us coming back.

You might also watch the Disney Store: in the past, they've sold replicas, which you can place in your home.

    Have a magical day!
